About the Event
Join us at Biratenu for a spectacular end-of-the-summer event.
"Biblical Brewing" is a 45-60 min lecture about brewing, history and archaeology, with a special story of ancient and new brewing. Using science and technology, archaeologists were able to extract yeast and ingredients for producing ancient beer and mead recipes.
We made a special page (click here) with more information about the event and a video about one of the beers. You can also read the Jerusalem Post article Beer in Israel, Old and New.
Lecture is by Nachliel "The Museum Guy" who guides in museums world wide, and frequently lectures about ancient history and archaeology in person, virtually and on podcasts and youtube. More about him here.
This was in the news, and you only got to see it. Now you can taste it, and not just a taste - a glass of it!
The menu includes three unique drinks. An ancient beer, an ancient mead, and a braggot - produced from honey in Ramat Rachel - a site with unique biblical and historic significance.
Choice of one main dish: two meat and one vegan option (Tzohar kashrut).
Promo code will be sent to participants for 10% off a public tour or 15% off a private tour with Nachliel in the Israel Museum or Bible Lands Museum.
Biratenu is a leader in brewing in Israel, and they are involved in some exciting cultural developments. Read more about them here.
