Homeschool (HEBREW) - Shavuot, First Fruits & Zionism
Shavuot is celebrated as both the time of the giving of the Torah at Sinai, and the celebration of the land’s first fruits, or Bikkurim. The agricultural theme of Bikkurim plays a very important role in modern Zionism, and bikkurim is celebrated in the Kibbutzim. So what is it really about?

About the Event
What is Shavuot really about? The Omer, first fruits, or Zionism?
Let's explore the implications of the agriclutural aspects of Shavuot. We will find that they have a connection to the Pesach Haggadah, Modern Zionism, and the way we decorate synagogues - with green and flowers.
Schedule is listed in Israeli Time.
