About the Event
Did you know that Tu Bishvat was celebrated in Mesopotamia around 3,800 years ago? Yes, it was an agricultural festival related to the new moon, and the setting of the calendar. But how does this relate to our Tu Bishvat holiday for trees? Humans and trees, in general, are seen as the kings of their realms: Humanity are the kings of the animal world, and the trees are the kings of the plant world. Flora and Fauna. How are these two interrelated in Jewish thought?
